The owner was asked why he "went to the woods," as Ralph Waldo Emerson so eloquently wrote in his famous novel...this client wanted to get away from the cold cruel world and surround himself with nature and the warmth of a lodge house filled with rich wood tones and sumptuous leather furniture.
The mid-level entry was designed so as to not separate upper and living areas, both of which can be secluded from each other depending on those enjoying the house. The client also opted for a large carport instead of a closed-in garage so that when the cars are removed the party can commence with a large table for a great family meal surrounded by nature! It's another example of MJS Inc.'s ability to design great houses of all styles.
Compliments go to one of our premier builders Paul Gidus at PSG Construction for this masterpiece. Check him out for your new retreat!
